Turns out, that our bodies are super clever. Without us even knowing, they are keeping us from a very embarrassing situation indeed. 

There is a super cool little muscle that is wrapped around your colon that puts a kink in it stopping the flow of waste (like a kink in a hose) when you stand or sit. Trouble is, when you sit on a normal loo, the kink is still very much active. 

Our bodies are actually designed to eliminate effectively when in the Squat Position. Think Camping. Or travelling through Asian countries. You know how it’s so much easier to go to the loo when you squat? That’s because the kink “un-kinks” when you do. 

We doubt that you’ll install a squat toilet or move countries any time soon, so we’ve created the perfect solution that simulates the squatting position - all you have to do is prop your feet up to release the kink. 

We believe in your health and the health of the planet. All of our materials are eco friendly, non toxic and where possible - recycled. 

We are also totally made in Australia. Manufactured just near Byron Bay, we believe in a quality product that can support our local industry. 

We know that you value staying healthy. You do the exercise, you eat the right things - but why do you do this? Because you want to do other epic things in your life. You’re not staying healthy for the sake of it, you love staying healthy because it allows you to perform at your best. 

Your PROPPR comes in three different colours: Whitewash, Natural and Black- to suit a range of all bathroom decor. 

Dara is the Creative Director for the Proppr. Everything that looks like it’s touched Photoshop, she’s created. She can talk all day about fonts and Pantone swatches. In her spare time she likes to increase her knowledge of 90’s boybands, pretend to be amazing at skateboarding and attend a super awesome music camp for adults. She made Nemara do this photo and the lip syncing at the end of the video. 

Nemara is the Master of Motion for the Proppr. Nemara makes sh#t happen. She might look like a small Irish woman, but she actually has the energy and presence of a six foot Hawaiian man. She moves things along in the nicest way possible. A Hawaiian Massage Therapist for over 17 years, Nemara has seen and heard it all when it comes to people’s bodies. She’s passionate about her own health, and is confident that she’s actually getting younger as she gets older. 

We’re much more than a fancy footrest. Our Vision is for a Radiantly Healthy World. We want to be a major contributing factor to the ongoing great health of the people on the planet, and believe we can do this by helping one body at a time through an easy daily health habit. 

From our own experience, the foundation of your great health are your daily health habits. We want to introduce the PROPPR as a nation-wide health habit - one that will promote the conversation of gut health and health awareness. Because if you can change just one daily health habit, you could change your life. 

It has been a long journey to get to this point. We have been designing and testing and prototyping since June 2015. We've built several different versions of PROPPR's, sent them all out to our friends and got honest and practical feedback. We've had three different manufacturers making prototypes, and we are super confident in the design, the materials and the manufacturer that we now have. 

We are all ready to roll. Our manufacturer is on standby and our warehouse has cleared space for the PROPPR’s to arrive.

Campaign Finished! Next Steps!

Every single dollar raised here goes towards manufacturing and distribution costs. We’re here for the long run, not just a crowdfunding overnight success - we want the PROPPR to have a long life - that’s why every last dollar will go towards the business. We've already covered the cost of setting up the business, website hosting, bank fees etc. - so every dollar now goes straight into the production process.

Full transparency: We have already put in an order for 150 PROPPR’s, which will be delivered to our warehouse mid-March. We’ve put up our own cash for this order, just to make sure we have PROPPR’s on standby when our campaign finishes.

This means if you’re one of the first 150 orders that come through, you’ll get your PROPPR within 2-3 weeks of the campaign ending. We’ll be sure to put an announcement on our page when that happens.

For all orders beyond that, we will be putting in an order for that exact amount when the campaign finishes. Depending on that amount we have to order, it could take up to 10 weeks to get them made and sent to you.

We will keep you in the loop the whole time and let you know absolutely where you are on the order list!

We want to keep the cost of shipping low for Australia, so an additional $10 to each PROPPR order is all that it will cost to get to you.

Yes - we totally understand that $45 is a fair chunk of cash to be spending on postage, but unfortunately we don’t have the resources at this early stage to organise a warehouse in another part of the world that could bring down the cost. It’s likely that it will actually cost us much more than $45 to send a PROPPR to you in another part of the world, but we’re happy to absorb the extra cost!

You know when you go into a job interview and you’re asked “what’s your biggest weakness” and the interviewee already knows you’re going to say “I work too hard and I’m a perfectionist”... well this is one of those situations. You already know the answer to this: 

Delivery Time. 

We have worked hard to agree to a realistic timeline with our manufacturer, but ultimately we don’t have full control over the production process. As much as we would like to be in overalls in a giant workshop, we’re not the ones making the product. We have established an excellent and transparent relationship with our manufacturer. We’re totally confident that he can and will deliver in the timeframe we’ve agreed on. 

As long as we can reach you with a current email address, and you respond to the correspondence, you will get your PROPPR! 

Should unforeseen issues come up, we will handle them with the utmost transparency and care, and we’ll be sure to let you know about the wins along the way as well! 

>>> WILL IT BE THE RIGHT HEIGHT FOR ME?

We have done extensive testing and prototyping to come up with what we believe is the perfect “catch-all” height. The PROPPR is slanted on the top – 23cm on one side and 21 cm on the other – depending on your preference, you can turn the PROPPR around to have a different height. Depending on future feedback, we may consider developing different height options. 

>>> IT'S WOOD - IS IT WATERPROOF? 

The PROPPR has been tested in high-traffic bathrooms as well as being subjected to many water and heat tests. Our lacquer is highly water-repellant and is designed to repel moisture and direct water contact. 

Does it have a second function? We’re going to go with a No! Our firm belief is that if The PROPPR has a secondary function (like a magazine rack, toilet-roll holder, mini step in the bathroom) it would cease to be used for its primary function! We want the Proppr to just be used for what it was intended to be used for! However…we have had some feedback that this works perfectly as a meditation stool! We’re cool with that…just don’t stand on it! 

>>> IS IT FOR MEN AND WOMEN? 

Yes absolutely! The PROPPR is for anyone with a body! 

>>> HOW HYGENIC IS IT? 

We have coated the PROPPR with a toxic-free varnish that will wipe down very easily. With any bathroom space, you have to keep things clean on a regular basis. If you wipe down the PROPPR with a damp cloth regularly, you will have one super hygienic item! 

>>> IS THIS AS EFFECTIVE AS SQUATTING? 

Squatting is the ultimate position because it’s how nature designed us to completely release. However! The reality is that the Western loo is not going to disappear overnight and Westerners are not going to take to squatting en masse. The PROPPR gets you comfortably very close to the perfect squatting/releasing alignment (releasing the kink in your gut and allowing the colon to straighten) and is suitable for most levels of flexibility. 

>>> HOW DOES THE PROPPR COMPARE TO OTHER FOOT-RESTS? 

There are a small range of bathroom footrests on the market that offer similar benefits – but where the PROPPR differs is the style, design and environmental consideration. We aimed to create a beautiful, minimalist footrest that would be a stylish addition to a designer bathroom. It’s a functional piece of bathroom furniture to be proud of. It says you care about your health yet you don’t need to sacrifice style! Also, at every point of the process we have used products that are Environmentally sustainable – no cheap plastic! 

>>> CAN I USE THE PROPPR AS A STEP STOOL? 

No… The PROPPR has NOT been designed to take a persons full weight. It will only take the weight of your legs when seated on the toilet. The angle on the top of the PROPPR has been deliberately designed so that you’re not prompted to step on it! 

>>> WILL THIS HELP MY DIGESTIVE PROBLEMS? 

Using the PROPPR may help with many digestive issues. You won’t know until you try it. In cultures where squatting is the norm and the bowel is emptied completely each day, the incidence of many common bowel problems are extremely low. Anecdotally the PROPPR has helped many people, and it certainly won’t do you any harm to try it!
